A paper entitled Non-Covalent Carrier Hydrophobicity as a Universal Predictor of Intracellular Protein Activity was recently published in Biomacromolecules by Christopher Hango*, Coralie Backlund*, Hazel Davis*, Nicholas Posey*, Lisa Minter and Gregory Tew*. This research discusses the design of polymeric cell-penetrating peptide mimics. Importantly, the article highlights how hydrophobicity can be used as a scaffold-independent predictor of protein uptake and function.
